Winner of the Palme d’Or at the 75th Cannes Film Festival (and bringing a second Palme d’Or for Ruben Östlund), Triangle of Sadness is a cinematic roller coaster that will not leave you indifferent.
In line with Östlund’s cinema, the film touches upon controversial societal aspects meaning to provoke and prompt fervent conversations. Set in the fashion world, it follows a couple of models, Carl and Yaya, who find themselves at a crossroads in their careers. When the yacht on their luxury cruise sinks, they become stranded on a deserted island with a group of billionaires and a cleaning lady. As they fight for survival, old hierarchies are turned upside down since the cleaning lady is the only one who possess any skills useful for survival.
