The Worst Person in the World, by Joachim Trier

Critically acclaimed, the new film of Norwegian Director Joachim Trier (Thelma; Oslo, August 31st; Louder than Bombs) is a modern love letter to the romcom genre. It won the Palm for best actress at Cannes 2021, for its lead character, Renate Reinsve.

The film chronicles four years in the life of Julie, a young woman who navigates the troubled waters of her love life and struggles to find her career path, leading her to take a realistic look at who she really is.
