There are two great opportunities to catch up with two of our Polarise Nordic Film Nights coups de Coeur, in May, in Cinema Palace.
First, you can attend a screening of Clara Sola, followed by a Masterclass with film composer Ruben De Gheselle.
In 2021, Ruben received the prestigious Georges Delerue price, at the Ghent Film Fest, for his work on Clara Sola’s soundtrack. He also teaches film music in KASK.
Clara Sola is the first feature film of Swedish – Costa Rican filmmaker Nathalie Álvarez Mesén and tells the story of a woman who frees herself from traditions and social constraints.
Second, if you have missed our avant première of 3 times Oscar nominee Flee, by Jonas Poher Rasmussen (Denmark), you can now see it in Avant Premiere in Palace, courtesy of Genres d’a coté/ Pink Screens and Polarise. The Danish film will be screened together with the presentation of the latest video clip of the “Sing Out Brussels!” choir. All as part of the Belgian Pride 2022.
Even better news, we are teaming up with Cinema Palace to offer tickets for both Flee and for the Clara Sola Masterclass- for the first lucky ones to enter our competition! For a chance to win a ticket for you, and one for a friend, sponsor your friend to register our newsletter. Drop us an e mail at hello@polarise.be before May 18th, copying the friend you sponsor and indicating the movie you want to see.
Oh, and did you know that Compartment No.6, by Juho Kuosmanen (Finland), is still on Brussels cinema screens?
